Every Simple Thing
by: W. Dire Wolff 1997

Part One:

It’s every simple little thing
That makes me think
Of things we did together.
It’s every simple little thing
That helps to keep us both together.
And all those simple little things
Helped us through the stormy weather.
It’s every simple little thing
That makes me think
That soon our lives will be better.

Part Two:

As you go to sleep tonight
Leave a candle burning bright
I’ll be home by morning light
Say a prayer and try to dream of me.

As the sun sets in the west
I pray for you to lay to rest
Never fear this constant test
Say a prayer and try to dream of me.

As I watch the stars in the sky
Never stop to wonder why
In my heart this love won’t die
You’re in my prayers, I always dream of you.
